Eucalyptus tree removal in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

This front garden tree was planted by the customer only 40 years ago. Because of its location bordering a public road and private properties, felling was not an option, so we set about dismantling it and lowered each piece to the ground. Once the canopy was gone and only the tree’s trunk (usually referred to by an arborist as the ‘stem’) remained, it was then cut into handheld sections and dropped onto the flower bed below. We refer to this process as ‘cheesing down’ the ‘stem’. The tree removal was kindly captured on video by the neighbours. The timber (as can be seen on the video) was shared out around the neighbourhood.
